The Company Behind the Compass
Who we are, why we exist, and what we are building.
WHY DHRUVA
In Sanskrit, Dhruva means pole star — the single fixed point in the heavens around which all other stars appear to revolve. It is the one celestial body that does not move. Sailors have navigated by it for millennia. It is the oldest symbol of constancy that human beings possess.
The company is named for the founder’s grandfather, Dhruv. He was not a businessman. He was a man who stayed — who lived his entire life in the same district, who built his house with his own hands, who was trusted by his neighbours because he never left and never wavered. In a culture that increasingly celebrates mobility and reinvention, he represented something older and more durable: the conviction that where you stand matters, and that standing firm is itself a form of strength.
In Indian tradition, Dhruva is also the young prince of the Vishnu Purana whose unwavering devotion earned him an eternal, immovable place among the stars. The name carries weight in two registers at once: a personal tribute to a beloved grandfather, and an invocation of one of the oldest moral exemplars in Indian thought. Both readings point to the same idea — that constancy, in a world of constant change, is itself a form of power.
“To build enduring, multi-domain enterprises rooted in Bihar that create generational value for communities, stakeholders, and the land itself — with the patience that worthy things demand and the discipline that lasting things require.”
WHERE WE ARE GOING
YEAR VISION — 2036
An operational holding company with three or more active subsidiaries across agriculture, sports infrastructure, and education. Over two hundred employees, predominantly from Bihar. Revenue-generating enterprises that demonstrate, by their existence, that world-class businesses can be built from this land.
YEAR VISION — 2051
A recognised institutional enterprise with multi-state presence and a reputation for patient, values-driven development. A company that has outlived its founding phase and operates with the independence and discipline of India’s most respected conglomerates. A generational asset — not for the founder alone, but for the communities it serves.
THE SEVEN PRINCIPLES
We call them the Saptasutra — the seven threads. They are not aspirational statements. They are operational constraints. Every decision the company makes must pass through these filters.
Sthairya
Steadfastness
We do not pivot. We course-correct with discipline, but we do not abandon commitments at the first sign of difficulty.
Dharti Se
Rooted in the Land
Bihar is not our launchpad. It is our ground. The land informs everything we build, from the sectors we choose to the people we hire.
Dhairya
Patience
We measure progress in years, not months. Patience is not inaction. It is the discipline to act at the right time, in the right way, for the right reason.
Satya
Integrity
We say what we will do and we do what we say. Our credentials are public. Our commitments are documented. Our word is binding.
Seva
Service
Every enterprise we build must serve the community it operates within. Profit that does not improve lives is not the kind of profit we pursue.
Prayas
Endeavour
We work. The plan is important, the vision is important, but without sustained, unglamorous effort, neither means anything.
Parampara
Legacy
We build for the next generation, not this funding round. What we create must be inheritable — strong enough to outlast the people who built it.
FOUNDER
Aman Singh
Aman Singh is a third-year undergraduate in Materials Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. He is from Saran district, Bihar.
He founded Dhruva Holdings in March 2026 with a thesis that is straightforward: the next chapter of Indian economic growth will be written from places like Bihar, by people from Bihar, if they choose to stay and build rather than leave and optimise for elsewhere. The company is named for his grandfather.
Dhruva Holdings is pre-operational by design. The foundation is being built now. Operations will begin when the founder graduates in 2027 and the groundwork is strong enough to bear weight.
